Wednesday Apr 14, 2021
In this episode of Stirring the Pot we have our CEO Troy Coyle in studio to talk about the recent release of a fact sheet to assist industry in sharing our sustainability credentials more proactively.
She's the perfect candidate to talk about this body of work because sustainability is one of her personal passions and also because she is the Chair of the Sustainability Steel Council who is behind this body of work. It's also a timely conversation as we're starting to see sustainability be a key focus in New Zealand Governments tendering process and changes proposed to the Building Code as indicated in MBIE's Building for Climate Change program.
Join us as we delve more deeply into the two key fact sheets which cover the six reasons to choose steel, and the six reasons why steel is good for intergenerational wellbeing.

The intersection between Mātauranga Māori & Construction 4.0
Wednesday Mar 31, 2021
Wednesday Mar 31, 2021
In this episode of Stirring the Pot we invite University of Auckland Engineering & Law Student John Cole from Episode 41, back into the studio.
This time exploring the intersection between Mātauranga Māori and Construction 4.0 - a research project that John is working on for us - in partnership with Pūhoro STEM Academy.
As far as we are aware, this is the first time the interface between Mātauranga Māori and Construction 4.0 has been investigated. This will lead to some valuable insights and recommendations for future work. We are also really hoping that this will lead to a bilingual publication of the research results and break ground for more meaningful engagement with Māori in Engineering.
